Frequently Asked Questions
What does this preview do?
It runs a single test capture using the same real-Chrome engine Rendex Watch uses — so you can see what would be monitored, confirm the page loads (and isn't behind a login or block), and check that an element selector targets the right thing — all before you set up a watch.
Does it start monitoring the page?
No — it creates no watch, captures no baseline, and sends no alerts. To monitor a page on a schedule, create a Rendex Watch (free plan included).
Can I automate this?
Yes — the same check is a single API call (POST /v1/watches/test), and watches can be created from the REST API, the JavaScript and Python SDKs, MCP, n8n, and Zapier.
