Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free tier requires no credit card and never expires. You get 100 API calls per month to evaluate and prototype.
What happens if I exceed my plan limit?
Every plan has a hard cap. Free caps at 100 calls/month, Basic at 400, Starter at 10,000, and Pro at 100,000. Once you hit your cap, requests return HTTP 429 until your next billing cycle. Upgrade anytime for prorated billing, or contact sales for Enterprise volume.
Can I switch plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated billing. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
Do you offer annual billing?
Yes. Annual billing gives you 2 months free — Starter drops to $58/month ($690/year) and Pro to $149/month ($1,790/year) when paid annually.
What counts as an API call?
Each screenshot, PDF, HTML, or Markdown render counts as one call. Batch requests count each URL individually. Failed requests due to invalid URLs are not counted. Webhook deliveries are free.
Is Rendex Watch included in my plan?
Yes. Rendex Watch (website change monitoring) shares your existing plan, API key, and credit pool — there's no separate subscription. Each scheduled check counts as one render call against your monthly cap. Your plan sets how many watches you can run and how often: Free is 1 watch checked daily, Basic 2 watches every 3 hours, Starter 10 watches every hour, Pro 50 watches every 30 minutes, and Enterprise up to 1,000 watches every 5 minutes. Email alerts are on every plan; webhook alerts are Starter and up.
